Profiles in Veterinary Practice Medicine

Sasha Lord/ Dr. Rebecca Saria is the featured veterinarian in one of the most wildely distributed national veterinary magazines!  Read the article below and learn about a new side of Sasha Lord.  This is an awesome article!  My thanks go out to Nanette, one of my fans I met at Romantic Times who will shortly be publishing her first book, whose husband Don writes for the magazine and interviewed me for this piece.

January 2008

Whew!  What a crazy year!  Looking back, I have learned so much this past year and have matured in ways I didn't know I was immature (does that make sense?).  I have also learned a new level of forgivness and understanding that I hope every one will find at some point in their lives.  Writing WILD ANGEL was one of the most life-shaping events in my life.  I almost got divorced, but my husband and I found a new level of love together that is far stronger than anything I imagined.  My kids have grown up and I have had to learn that they still love me even though they want to do things other than hand out with me (sad realization but I'm also so proud of them).  I have learned how to deal with family and friends who disappoint you- intentially or unintentially- and still stay true to my path.

Looking forward, my goal this year is to find peace, to take the lessons learned and take them a step further, and to remain kind and giving even if others do not.  I want to love and be happy, and give strength and serenity to those in need.   I know it may sound trite, but these are true thoughts and the first step toward any goal is stating the goal, writing it down and commiting to it, so here it is!

Hang in there Sasha!—Teoh

Hello:)

I hope you continue writting, As your were apart of my own inspiration to start.

And writting has greatly improved me as a person..

May God Bless Your Pen:)

 --Your Faithful reader.

               Paula.

OMG Sasha so sorry to hear that you are having a tough time ... hope things get better for you soon ;o)

I wish for you a beautiful silver lining to come your way soon *mwah*

Stay strong and know that as a fan we are 100% behind you.

From your fan in Africa, Rita

Dear Sasha,

I can only express my deepest empathy for whatever challenges you're facing. All I can say is that know while you're battling your issues with your flaky publisher and your unsupportive web designer one of your stories is making someone's day with passion and unforgettable emotion, a new fan is laughing with the hero/heroine banter and crying at the turmoil. You have a gift that touches the deepest part of all us romantic fans...and an imagination that goes on and on! I hope things start going your way soon, if they haven't already. I doubt any fan batted an eyelash if you didn't get in touch with them (any true fan knows an author like you doesn't have a lot of spare time!!!) so worry less about that!

I squealed like a ten-year-old girl at a justin timeberlake concert when I read your latest book Wild Angel will be out in January. I don't even need to know the storyline, you're on my auto-buy list. It sounds gripping and wonderful like always.

So chin up, chest out, and shirk those unhappy times. I wish you the Very Very best on your next book's success. It's like a given!!!

Best,

Angelita

Sasha:

Thanks for getting back with me.  I know how set backs, etc. can interfere with your life.  We've gone through a year of cancer with my husband (his last Pet Scan showed all was clear--Praise the Lord!!), then I have ongoing health problems plus we had our old ceiling removed (popcorn ceiling) and had a new textured or knock down ceilings as they're called, but it produced such a mess and caused problems with all the wallpaper that we've had to remodel a lot and hire some things done (ceilings look great) so it's the extra expense, time, and nerves and then with all the health issues (my hubby had 3 stints in his leg this month, too and me an MRI of left knee) so I know where you're coming from when it seems like there's no light at the end of tunnel.  Anyway, hope things are better now and with all that's gone on, you KNOW that WILD ANGEL has to be a hit.  I can't wait to get my hands on it and start reading the series.  Oh, happy early birthday to you.  That's quite a birthday present with a book being released on your day.  Anyway, keep your chin up and look up and all will be well.  I've learned you can just take things one day at a time this year.  Maybe God has been teaching me a lesson--I'm impatient and a planner, but you can't do that with Cancer.  I lost my Mom back in April, too, and had to make the trip to Illinois alone since my hubby had started Chemo.  Thank goodness the airline I flew (Northwestern) was great about having wheelchairs at each gate--I had good connections and lots of help.  You take care, my dear, and things will work out.  Once I have your series complete and start reading it, I'll try to write after each book.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.

My Best,

Janet

I think as writers we all struggle at times. There are so many demands, and the ones from family and friends don’t help one iota with the ones from our imaginary characters who need their stories told! (and on deadline, yet....the nerve!) I’ve been dealing with my 86 year old mother’s two surgeries and a week “babysitting” my blind stepfather, nine days in Hawaii taking care of our twenty month old granddaughter with rain every day, a horrible case of shingles in my right ear that destroyed my balance and gave me Bell’s palsy (face still not working completely) and a book due January 15...so believe me, I do understand. Don’t feel bad for griping. We all need to on occasion. I have a little sign on my wall: Women don’t belch, fart, sweat or snore. If we didn’t bitch we’d explode...

Hope life is settling down where it belongs. Bitch at me anytime you like.

Hello Sasha

I'm sorry to hear all that.  But I completly understand what you mean.  I myself this september had one of my own.  My Grandfather passed away on my moms side May of 2007 luckly we had made a trip 4th of july in 06 to see him.  For we raily got to travil to Mass we hadn't seen him in almost 8-10 yrs.  So it was good for us to go.  Then this Septmeber my step grandmother (his wife) passed away.  From Lung cancer and giving up after out living 2husbands.  Luckly two days befor she did I was let go from my job because I forgot to cut a tomatto.  So some friends and I went on a road trip.  They say at that age its the hardest they were near there 80's they say that when your that old your all alone cause most of your friends have already left for the better world.  One we most all travil to someday.

This is acutally my first time in months i've been on here.  I was so excited when I saw your name in my inbox.  It always makes me feel over joyed and happy when I see an email from someone who I love there work.  I hope that by the time you read this email.  The star is shinning brighter than ever.  Its been a while since you sent yours so i'll pray that all is well on your end.

I still have all your books on my night stand i've ready them and each one is better than the other.  I recommend all your books to people I meet.  Even complete strangers when we are on the topic of books.  I'm like you have to read this one when you get the chance.  Look for Sasha Lord her books are Great.  I always thought about writting books I have many ideas.  I just couldn't think of a way to get that many pages out of it.  LOL

Sending out with a Readers Love

July 2007:
My baby is two years old and my other children are 8,9,10 and 11 already!  I am busy running around from baseball fields, to football fields, cheerleading practice, camp, swimming, the park and work--- I barely have time to breathe!  But I just finished my latest book, WILD ANGEL, and I am ready to take a vacation.

My crew and I are going on an RV trip (see the movie RV, staring Robin Williams) to Nebraska this month.  Then later, I plan on some R-n-R in the caribbean.

I have a new dog- she is a German Shepard named Athena and I absolutely love her!

My 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible just won "Best Car of the
Week" at a cruise show last weekend.  The trophy is taller than my daughter!

Enjoy life, and I will update you again next month...
